Landscope
Autour des questions corrélées du paysage et du dessin, lieux notoirement communs de l'histoire de l'art, sont rassemblés des artistes pour qui le dessin n'est souvent qu'un médium parmi d'autres, et le paysage, un genre non exclusif. Sous le néologisme «landscope» – contraction de l'anglais «landscape [paysage]» et de «scope [du grec skopein: observer]» –, le paysage est envisagé autant comme site que comme vue.
United around the correlated questions of landscape and drawing, those notoriously commonplace passages in art history, are a number of artists for whom drawing is often just one medium among others, and landscape,
a non-exclusive genre. Under the neologistic title “Landscope”, a contraction
of the English word “landscape” and “scope” [from the Greek skopein “to behold, to look”], landscape is regarded as both a site and a view.
